December
Specials
The
December Holiday Special is two Hosui Asian Pears, two Red D'Anjous and
two Jonagold apples in a classic wooden box. The box has a slide-in wooden
lid printed with our logo. We're sure you'll find many practical uses
for this hand-crafted box well after the 1999 holiday season. The wooden
box is custom-made for us at a family-run box factory in Thorp, Washington
that has been providing custom boxes to the fruit industry for many decades.
The
Hosui Pears were such a hit in November that we continued the special
through December. They are delicious. Adjectives such
as sweet, crunchy, and succulent, hardly do these special round, golden
pears justice. These pears are hard to find and our stock won't last so
if you want some this year, be sure to order now.
Jonagold
apples are always a favorite. Crunchy and sweet. An excellent apple
for eating and cooking--and 15% off during December at FruitFromWashington.com.
What's
Coming Up In 2000
The
New Year, New Century, New Millennium all are fast approaching. We're
looking forward to continuing to expand the FruitFromWashington.com product
line, adding
other quality products from Central Washington. We also are continuing
to work on the site, and plan to bring more heirloom recipes and tips
for using fruit online early in 2000.

Millennium
Special: 3
Jonagold apples and 3 Red d'Anjous packed in the same great wooden box
as the Holiday Special!
January
Special: Our Red
d'Anjou pears are delicious and attractive. This winter dessert pear is
harvested in mid-September but is available nearly year around due to
its fine storage quality. A medium to large sized pear, it is highly colored
with a dark red hue, sweet and richly flavored when ripe. Rave reviews
for the 1999 Red D'Anjou crop! The deep red color is "just beautiful...pretty,
pretty, pretty...best looking Red D'Anjous ever...a deeper red color than
those grown elsewhere...they are amazing!"
