wooden box. The box has a slide-in wooden lid printed with our logo. We're
sure you'll find many practical uses for this hand-crafted box. Kids love
them for a place to keep their treasures...as do the grown-ups! The wooden
box is custom made for us in Thorp, Washington. This family run box factory
has been providing custom boxes to the fruit industry for many decades."

try this excellent apple clafouti recipe of Toni Kramer's which was submitted
by our mutual friends, Rob and Jackie.

Toni's Apple Clafouti
2 T. unsalted butter
3 red or golden delicious apples, peeled and cored, cut to 1/2"
wedges (Winter Banana would make a nice substitute)
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
2/3 c. all purpose flour
4 large eggs
1 c. milk
2 T. calvados, apple jack or dark rum
confectioners sugar (optional)
Heat the butter in an 8" skillet; add sliced apples; toss to
coat. Add half the sugar and cinnamon. Cook 2 minutes to soften.
One hour before serving: pre-heat oven to 400°. Put remaining ingredients
into blender to smooth. Add dry ingredients first; mix briefly,
then add liquids, including calvados. With slotted spoon, remove
apples to 2: deep baking dish, pour batter over apples. Bake 40-45
min. at 400° until knife through center is clear and edge is puffy
and browned. Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar if desired. Serves
8.
