Same as your standard Gravenstein only the skin is red to make your apple sauce that pink color. Gravenstein Apples make the best apple pie in the world, just ask Grandma. The flavor is full body, slightly on the tart side and very aromatic. Many connesieurs use the Gravenstein Apple as a standard with which to compare flavor.
