Braeburn ApplesBraeburn apples were first cultivated in New Zealand. Don't think that a red apple is a ripe apple and a green one is immature. Different apple varieties make up their own rules about color and ripeness. The informed consumer knows that Braeburns are essentially a green apple with generous, cheeky red coloring. We love Braeburns with that greenish hue. They have better flavor, texture and keeping quality than those left longer to redden on the tree. We're sure that you will love them, too! Braeburns have a tart almost spicy flavor and are excellent for cooking. |
